Pantry Paper – September 2008

Thank you Jasmine Lorenzana for asking the kids invited to your ninth birthday party to bring food for the Pantry. We would very much appreciate anything done by other groups, such as congregations, neighborhoods, and workplaces.  

Supermarket Food Drive Help is needed Saturday September 13th in front of Albertson’s Market at Victory and Fallbrook in two hour shifts, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Call Al Trumpler (818) 887-9384. Also, Ralph’s at Shoup and Sherman Way gave us the go ahead for a drive Saturday, August 23^rd. Thanks!

Welcome National Charity League Teams: Gail and Kendra Gregory, Heather and Robin Hawley, Beth and Emily Kramer, Carolyn and Juliana Mandel, Angela and Kristie Reed, Debra and Emma Spellman, Alexandra and Lisa Wayne. Hunger Resource When someone comes in early, they may be referred to SOVA Pantry, a program of Jewish Family Services, located at 16439 Vanowen St., Van Nuys. It also does food stamp sign-up every Wed. & Fri. For more info, see Pantry handouts.
