Pantry Paper – December 2008

THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE so give the Pantry a call or stop by this month to see if extra hands are needed. Also, please wear a volunteer button from the bulletin board, and sign the volunteer book for hours worked.

SAVE THE DATE Monday, December 1st will be the Canoga Park High School Food Drive. For more info, call the Pantry.

HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE is Saturday, December 20th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers are needed Friday, December 19th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the church’s lower hall.

THANK YOU BOY SCOUT TROOP 22 for working all day at the Pantry during your Food Drive Saturday, November 15th.

SUPERMARKET FOOD DRIVES Help is needed Saturday, December 13th in front of Albertson’s Market at Victory and Fallbrook, and Saturday, December 20th at Ralph’s at Sherman Way and Shoup. Both consist of two hour shifts, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Call Al Trumpler to sign up (818) 887-9384.

VOLUNTEER NEWS Long-time volunteer Lloyd Gysin died November 11th; our condolences to his friends and family. Welcome new volunteers: David Kurland , Jaslyn Pajounia , and Sandy Weisbart.
