Youth  Calendar

Friday, April 11th, 7-9 in the Youth Center - Ice Cream Social Night. Come hang out, watch "The Mummy", play foosball and air hockey or board games, run around, play basketball or volleyball and continue to get to know each other.

Sunday, April 13th, 5-7 in the Youth Center - We will be talking about the 30-hour famine we are doing with World Vision on April 25th-26th. Last week we discussed why it is important to see our world as God sees it and that we have a responsibility to act with God, our King, as the partners we are meant to be to help alleviate poverty, disease and hunger. This week we will be discussing the fact that we can all play a part in God's kingdom work here on earth by focusing on people's souls/spiritual needs as well as their bodies/physical needs.

Sunday, April 20th, 5-7 in the Youth Center - We will be discussing money. Is it ours to do with it as we please or do we have a responsibility to use it in meaningful ways to see God's kingdom advance here on earth? How do we make wise and ethical decisions regarding our limited resources?

Friday, April 25th, 6:30 p.m. - Saturday, April 26th, 6:30 p.m. - The World Vision 30 Hour Famine begins. We are asking students to stop eating at 12:30 on Friday afternoon. Then they are invited to join us Friday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Center for what is sure to be an informative, bonding and educational experience as we raise awareness and funds to alleviate hunger, poverty and disease. We are asking all youth to join us in this experience through Saturday, April 26th at 6:30 p.m.. We will then share with the church, our experience at the 10:00 am service. We have plans for a scavenger hunt, bible study, webcam/video cam confessionals, music, games, bible study, prayer and a community service project. Each participant will get a T-shirt and a fundraising packet. The event is chaperoned and boys and girls will sleep in separate areas. For those of you with team commitments who want to participate but may have to leave and come back -- you are welcome to do so as we'd love to have you participate in this event. If you haven't not yet signed up or committed to this event, please come on Sunday night or contact Lisa Michael or the church office.

If you are an adult, or a kid who wants their parent to come, let us know so we can start looking at numbers. We will let you know as soon as possible if these dates work.
