YOUTH NEWS

... to do "audacious, culture defying, and seemingly impossible things for Christ", to bring someone across the line of faith, and to reorder our finances to reflect God's proper position in our life.

Amazingly, this is what our youth are doing right now through a growing faith in Christ and in recognition of their importance in God's plan ...

We are asking all youth to join us in this experience through Saturday, April 26th at 6:30 p.m.. We will then share with the church, our experience at the 10:00 am service. We have plans for a scavenger hunt, bible study, webcam/video cam confessionals, music, games, bible study, prayer and a community service project. Each participant will get a T-shirt and a fundraising packet. The event is chaperoned and boys and girls will sleep in separate areas. For those of you with team commitments who want to participate but may have to leave and come back -- you are welcome to do so as we'd love to have you participate in this event. If you haven't not yet signed up or committed to this event, please come on Sunday night or contact Lisa Michael or the church office.

YOUTH EDUCATION SERIES
(5 - 7pm in the Youth Center)

Sunday, April 13
We will be talking about the 30-hour famine we are doing with World Vision on April 25th-26th. Last week we discussed why it is important to see our world as God sees it and that we have a responsibility to act with God, our King, as the partners we are meant to be to help alleviate poverty, disease and hunger. This week we will be discussing the fact that we can all play a part in God's kingdom work here on earth by focusing on people's souls/spiritual needs as well as their bodies/physical needs.

Sunday, April 20
We will be discussing money. Is it ours to do with it as we please or do we have a responsibility to use it in meaningful ways to see God's kingdom advance here on earth? How do we make wise and ethical decisions regarding our limited resources?

Sunday, Aptil 27
NO educational program as we will have been together all weekend for the 30-hour famine.

Sunday, May 4
Parent's BBQ instead of an education program. See Youth Events.

Sunday, May 11
NO educational program - Mother's Day.

Sunday, May 18
Regularly scheduled educational program.

Sunday, May 25
No educational program - Memorial Day Weekend.

Sunday, June 1
Regularly scheduled educational program.

Sunday, June 8
Regularly scheduled educational program.

Sunday, June 15

Blessings to the 2007 confirmands! Praise God for this wonderful group and the dedicated youth leaders who prepared them for this special day.
