Evangelism

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:19,20

In Christian tradition, the Great Commission is the instruction of the resurrected Jesus Christ to his disciples, that they spread the faith to all the nations of the world. It has become a tenet in Christian theology emphasizing mission work and evangelism. It has been a primary basis for Christian missionary activity. Christians often characterize evangelism as "...one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread."

Worship without walls Sunday afternoon worship in local parks. All are welcome.

During the summer months (when temperatures are lower than 100 degrees), Deacon George Packer leads informal worship services on Sunday afternoon in local parks. These Worship Without Walls services are a low-key and friendly invitation to join in our worship and to learn more about Jesus.

Ashes to Go Parishoners on the corner of Topanga Canyon and Ventura offering ashes to all on Ash Wednesday

Sometimes the church should go out to where the people are. On Ash Wednesday, parishoners can be found on one of Woodland Hills busiest intersections offering a blessing and ashes to all who desire. What better way to show our faith than to take our liturgy to the street for God's people who have work, children, and chores filling their day.
