Prince of Peace Episcopal Church

The first Young Men's Scholarship was awarded in 1999 to Sean Marin, a high school senior who went off to Moorpark College and then transferred to UC Santa Barbara. A long time member of Prince of Peace, the late Joe Gallagher, started the Scholarship with the idea of giving a little "jump start" to the college career of one of our young men graduating from high school. Joe was an avid golfer and was able to convince many of his fellow golfers at Prince of Peace to contribute to the scholarship fund.

Through Joe's efforts, the fund grew rapidly and through Joe's vision and persuasive fundraising, the Young Men's Scholarship been able to sustain itself for the last twenty-seven years. Since Joe's passing on to glory, the scholarship is now known as the Joe Gallagher Scholarship. Thank you Joe. 

The scholarship is awarded to a graduating male senior from a public or private high school who:  attends Prince of Peace Episcopal Church and embodies the values of Prince of Peace.  Open the scholarship application using the button below.  Review and complete the application.  The application must be received by May 17th.  Email the completed application to office@popwh.org with "Men's Scholarship" in the Subject line.
