Kathie Clark Scholarship

Sponsored by the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church Women

In 1995, the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church Women (ECW) voted to establish a scholarship fund to honor a female senior high school student from the parish. The purpose of the award is to provide financial support for a qualified young woman in her continuing higher-level education. The scholarship is named in honor of Reverend Kathie Clark, as she exemplifies the importance of women in ministry and involvement in church activities.

Reverend Kathie became a deacon in 1987 and was named assistant at Prince of Peace in February 1988. She was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Garver on May 14, 1988.

In 2005, Reverend Kathie retired however celebrates and serves on a part-time basis. She continues to make weekly pastoral visits to members of our congregation when and where needed and is also part of our Healing Ministry.

Her caring and loving ways, and continual support of ECW, have made a lasting impression, not only on the women of Prince of Peace, but on the congregation as a whole. The Episcopal Church Women is proud to present this scholarship in her honor.

The scholarship is awarded to a graduating female senior from a public or private high school who:  attends Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, embodies Reverend Kathie’s values, and meets the criteria as set out in the scholarship application.  Open the scholarship application using the button below.  Review and complete the application.  The application must be received by the due date.
